We all are aware of the classic signs of pregnancy. You’ve missed your period, the breasts feel quite tender, and you are experiencing body fatigue throughout the day.

Beyond these prevalent pregnancy signs, some experience a profusion of unfamiliar symptoms right from chest burning sensation, recurrent mood swings to feel like peeing all the time,

Here are six little-known pregnancy signs that nobody will tell you — be ready to expect the unexpected!

#1. You Feel Like Burning

When you wake in the morning after ovulation, your body temperature will feel elevated. It stays till the time you get your next period. This elevated temperature is known as the basal body temperature.

If the temperature stays raised for over two weeks, then the chances are you may be pregnant. You must speak to your doctor about this symptom, and based on their advice, take the pregnancy test such as the ELISA kit that detects human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) or known as pregnancy hormones, in a pregnant woman’s urine.

#2. Your Head Will Hurt, Want to Pee All Time, and Body Cramps

Many hormonal changes happen during pregnancy, and the blood volume also varies, which leads to severe headaches for long durations.

Some women experience cramps like periods on the lower side of their abdomen, and they have a frequent urge to go to the restroom. But why? Because the growing uterus puts pressure on the bladder.

#3. The Room Feel Like Spinning

It’s not uncommon if you feel dizzy or lightheaded; most women do in the first trimester.  During pregnancy, the blood pressure dips, and blood vessels become dilated.

You should pay close attention to your pregnancy symptoms. Severe dizziness combined with abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding could be a sign of ectopic pregnancy. It is a pregnancy type when the fertilized egg grows in another location, except for the uterus’s inner lining. You must consult your doctor to avoid any life-threatening complications later on.

#4. Mood Swings

During pregnancy, the body’s hormones fluctuate, which can throw your emotions out of whack.  Many feel weepy and emotional about things in their life.

Libido goes cold to hot, and then cold, and again jumps to again hot. Mood swings become too complicated during the first and second trimester of pregnancy.

#5. No Taste

A rise in progesterone & estrogen levels influences the taste buds of some women. An unusual condition known as dysgeusia makes some pregnant women taste everything like metal. It feels like you had pennies for lunch.

One can get rid of this metallic taste by chewing sugarless gums and saltines. Also, have spicier foods or cold drinks.

#6. Your Chest Burns

Your Chest Burns

Hormonal fluctuations in the body during pregnancy trigger so many changes. The valve between the stomach and esophagus becomes relaxed, causing the stomach acid to leak to the esophagus, which causes heartburn sensation.

You can combat chest burn by eating in smaller quantities and more frequently. Reduce fried food, and avoid fizzy drinks, citrus fruits, and spicy foods.

#7. Cold and Flu-Like Symptoms

Cold and Flu-Like Symptoms

During pregnancy, the immunity of a woman drops considerably. This means they become prone to catch cough, cold & flu. Therefore, it is not uncommon for ladies to feel like grabbing some tissue, getting into the blankets layer, and sipping tomato juice early in pregnancy.

Being pregnant, you are prone to several health problems; talk to your health care provider for tips to boost your immunity.
